BABY GOT BACK!!!

I had to do a post on this since I was discussing this picture with friends. This is my oldest son Aaron (RIGHT) and his Cousin Sierra . Sierra is 5 months older than Aaron. We had given the kids a bath together and needless to say they were checking out their parts. Aaron was quite amused at how much bigger his booty was than Sierra's. We laughed so hard. As you can see the Williams clan has a lot more Junk in Their Trunk compared to the Hunters.(I just love having the power to embarrass my kids)

Curtis and I just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary yesterday. I can hardly believe that it has been that long. I remember my wedding day as though it was yesterday. I wanted the perfect princess wedding and that is what I got. We got married and the Ballroom at John Ascuagas Nugget in Sparks Nevada. We pretty much celebrated a wedding week! It was truly an amazing day follies and all. Because I was having a Formal Wedding I insisted that my grandfather wear a Tuxedo this was the only time in his life that he ever wore one Wow he was handsome that made the day very special! My dad wore a Tuxedo as well but being Dad he had to add his own little twist in the form of a TAZ bow tie!! What can I say he was cute. My cake top consisted of two dolphins (knowing me would you expect anything else) I also had to have a princess Veil it extended about 10 feet past the train on my dress the funny part was that it was detachable and so we didn't want to put it on until I was ready to walk down the aisle. So here I am waiting to walk down the aisle all my bridesmaids already entered and were patiently awaiting my arrival. The wedding march starts and I freak!!! We forgot to attach my veil!! There was no way I was getting married without it since I had it specially made. It was just Dad and I and there was no way he could figure out how to attach it. All of a sudden My grandfather exits the Ball room ( by this time Groom, groomsmen Bridesmaids all are waiting at the alter the wedding march is playing people are standing in NO BRIDE!!) grandpa comes to me and asks if I am having second thoughts he told me "Don't Worry Baby I will call the whole thing off and we Will just have a Party" Gotta love gramps I assured him that I wanted to get married but not without my veil. He runs back into the ballroom and fetches my mother.Veil is attached and I am ready to rock and roll. I can only imagine the thoughts that went through Curts head at that moment Friends of ours even mouthed the words to him "Maybe she left you" Besides me dropping his ring ( He bent down and picked it up at which time my crazy Uncle Verl yells "that a girl Nancy teach him early") The rest of the wedding went off without a hitch!! My Family is CRAZY they all love a Party where as Curts Fathers side is very prim and proper I am not quite sure what they thought! We danced all night long!! It was My perfect Wedding!!! Who would of thought that 13 years later we would be where we are now!! I can't wait to see what the next 13 years may bring.

I hate being on call!!!

So here I am wide awake. I laid in bed and tossed and turned for 6 hours!! Being on call really puts a damper on your sleep. I was on call last night from 10pm-6am I called at 8pm to see if they needed me and of course the answer couldn't be NO WAY WE ARE SOOOOO SLOW it was just a simple I think we will be ok right now but things change!!!! UGH so to me that means stay up until at least 2am What to do what to do?
So thank goodness the Olympics are on I got in a heavy dose of women's gymnastics and swimming. Let me just say being a former competitive swimmer it is always bitter sweet watching the Olympics especially swimming having had the dream once of standing on the podium as they play are national anthem. It brings chills down my spine and a tear in my eye. As a little girl my dream was to be there!!! I watched the 4X100 men's freestyle relay and let me tell you I was utterly blown away!!!! I have swam in thousands of races throughout my life and I freaked out watching this final!! To start out the french team was talking smack about how they were going to SMASH the USA. The french were the favorites to win. My heart was pounding as I remembered the feelings I would get before competing in a big race sitting waiting for them to call your heat, looking around at the competition trying to get fear and doubt out of your head (My trick was I would sing in my head during the race My all time fav was I'm too sexy by right said fred lol don't ask me why) anyway back to the race Michael Phelps was first off the block the commentators all kept referring to this relay being a make or break moment for him and his race to get get 8 gold medals(nothing like adding a little more weight on the poor guys shoulders!) Michael Phelps smoked the first leg of the race the next two racers were Garrett Weber-Gale and Cullen Jones We lost the lead during the third leg of the race with France ahead by 1/2 a body length and on world record pace. The anchor (or last man to swim ) Jason Lezak was an the block waiting for the touch (I too remember how it was to be anchor and how the pressure to either maintain the lead or in this case steal the lead back rests heavily on your shoulders) Not only was he having to make up time he was also swimming against the best french swimmer. The commentators basically were saying that race was over even with 50m still to race (Nothing like proving them wrong!!) Jason Lezak swam with such heart and proved why he was anchor and team captain with about 25 m still left the french were still in the lead but USA was catching up quickly I was in my room screaming as if I were a teammate on this relay ( what can I say old habits are hard to brake) Jason Lezak out touched the french for the gold and they smashed the world record by an amazing 4 seconds!!!!! For those of you who are not swimmers that is an unbelievable feat!!!!I am not sure if it was the adrenaline after watching the race or the fear of being called in I was up all night. OH WELL at least I got to watch probably the most exciting race i have ever seen or will see GO USA

We officially have a FOOTBALL PLAYER!!!!

Aaron made the team!!! As a mother I was terrified that he wouldn't make it, what do you say? How do you let them know that there is always next year? Thank goodness I didn't have to worry about all that. Curt picked up Aaron yesterday from try-outs with Lola in tow and called me on the way home with the great news Aaron made the team. I am so thrilled for him it is the Queen Creek middle school football team with both 7th and 8th graders. Their first game is on the 14th unfortunately I have to work but Curt, Marie (my mother in law) and the kids will be rooting him on from the stands. this is truly the first sport that took no encouragement for Aaron to want to play. I really don't have to worry about Curt getting crazy during the game but I just might have to send a leash to keep a hold of Marie. When Curt was growing up and doing sports Marie actually followed an umpire out to the parking lot after the game!! Hopefully we can keep her under control but just in case we are setting aside some money for her BAIL LOL. I will keep you all updated and hopefully add some new pictures of his 1st game and who knows maybe even a mug shot of my mother in law.

First Week Back at School

The first week back to school is done and over with, without any meltdowns (Mom or Kids). All the kids seem to be enjoying their classes!

Aaron is in the 7th grade his 2nd year in middle school he is feeling much braver going into this year since he has the routine down. His only complaint is that school starts at a later time this year and therefore Grandma Marie can't drive him to school and he is destined to ride the DREADED BUS!!! he still manages to talk her into picking him up always reliable waiting with his ice cold coke she insists that she's not spoiling him I beg to differ. Aaron is off to a great start and is trying out for the football team. So far his favorite teacher seems to be Mr. Buckley (social studies) I can see why first off he loves history (just like his father) and during meet the teacher night Mr. Buckley had parents and students alike cracking up he has such amazing love for what he teaches and it shows. Aaron also seems quite excited about Science this year since they get to play in the lab. HEHEHE my little mad scientist!

Ryan has started 5th grade his last year in elementary school His teacher is Mrs. Johnson and I am thrilled with this since she also has a child with some of the same challenges or should I say "QUIRKS" that Ryan has she has him pinned down to a "T" He really likes her and seems to be adjusting well to his new class. Once again Ryan is doing Dodgeball for intramural sports he LOVES it! I love that its his alone no big brother to follow, he always beams when he comes home from games. Ryan is hilarious we were driving in town the other day and Ryan says "Mom if we see a midget will you give him $10 to have him say "You'll never get me lucky charms"" I have never laughed so hard in all my life he even added the Irish accent like the commercial.

Now onto Lindsey! She just started 2nd grade (Wow time sure flies by) She is in Mrs. Murphy's class she is so thrilled to be back in school with all of her friends I know that my daughter is outgoing but she blows me away! As we went to meet the teacher Lindsey knew no strangers every child from 1st grade to 5th grade knew Lindsey and said hi That girl amazes me not a shy bone in her body. Many of her best friends are in her class so this should be an interesting year. Lindsey got an Ipod for her Birthday and I am not sure she realizes how loud she sings or maybe she does and she does it to annoy us all. anyway she has been loving her birthday present.

Now on to me. I was thrilled the morning of August 2nd when I picked up my copy of Breaking Dawn the final book in Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight Series" I finished it in 2 days even though I was working (sleep is so overrated) I will not ruin it because I know so many of my friends are reading it But WOW is all I have to say this book was not a let down at all I am looking forward to all my friends reading it so that I can finally discuss it at work without my life being in danger! Erin I know you tagged me so my response will be coming soon
